The Justin West Band is composed of five incredible musicians that are tearing up the southeast and the wildfire is quickly spreading. JWB preforms at bars, music venues, festivals, private parties and anywhere with a group of people looking to have a good time. JWB is inspired by new and old; country and rock. The band is on a mission to bring its sound to all listening ears. But don’t worry, they will still sing your favorite covers! Come out to a show and support this awesome band. Please take some time to meet the JWB members below:
Justin West (lead vocals, guitar): Justin is the face of the band. He started singing several years ago. He enjoys writing his own music and finds inspiration in Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church, Keith Whitley, and many others. Justin will be soon be a household name!
Blaine Toler (lead guitar, vocals): Blaine grew up in Benson, North Carolina picking up guitar at age 14. He learned to play by ear listening to some of his idols such as Jimmy Page, Slash, Pete Anderson, Brent Mason, and others. Blaine played through high school and a little after. Fate would turn when he met his love, Courtney West. She introduced him to someone that was just as passionate about music as Blaine, her brother Justin. The pair had a dream and built the foundation for the Justin West Band and continue to be a driving force to go national.
Nate Williams (bass guitar, vocals): Nate’s journey began on August 8, 2008. His uncle got him backstage passes to see his favorite band. Its the day that lit the fire and one he will never forget. Govt Mule was playing at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was lucky that day and had a once in a lifetime experience of meeting his hero, his hero’s parents and guitar tech. He also got to sit through soundcheck. At the time, he was cutting his teeth at every open mic and jam sessions he could get into. That one experience changed his view on everything and fueled the drive. By Halloween that year, he was playing his first gig in Myrtle Beach. In May 2012, he started playing bass guitar. In 2016, he got connected with the JWB and the rest will be history.
Dusty Peaden (drums): Dusty grew up in a small town just outside of Greenville, NC called Bell Arthur. He got his first drum kit at age 12. He taught himself how to play by listening to Lynard Skynard albums. Southern Rock and Country have a huge influence on his playing but he has always enjoyed all genres of music. He joined the school band to learn to read music and in high school joined his first travel band. He then put down his drums to pick them up later with the start of Blue Soul Redemption. After some good times and memories, BSR resolved. This led Dusty to JWB where he hopes to continue his dream of playing music!
